AMARAVATI — The Andhra Pradesh government is rolling out an extensive infrastructure upgrade across state-run social welfare hostels and residential schools to lift academic benchmarks for marginalized communities.
Minister for Social Welfare Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy confirmed the development during an educational felicitation ceremony in Vijayawada, detailing a shift toward tech-enabled monitoring and modernized student facilities.
The state administration has mobilized substantial funding for these educational reforms, authorizing the release of ₹917 crore for the welfare of 3.53 lakh Scheduled Caste students alongside ₹320 crore for 2.51 lakh pre-matric scholars.
Dedicated funds have also been earmarked for urgent structural repairs, construction of additional sanitary blocks, and the expansion of school campuses.
