VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) conducted a Grama Sabha in Mandadam village on Tuesday as part of the ongoing land acquisition and pooling processes required for the development of the capital city, Amaravati.
APCRDA Commissioner V Vijay Rama Raju, accompanied by Additional Commissioners A Bhargava Teja and Kollabathula Karthik, detailed the ongoing land pooling activities designated for roads, Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) zones, and various other crucial infrastructure projects.
Having recently issued official notifications for land acquisition, the authorities clarified that farmers who had previously skipped the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) are being given another opportunity to voluntarily join within the stipulated timeline. The Commissioner emphasized that capital infrastructure works are progressing at a rapid pace and urged local landowners to cooperate.
Prominent recruiters like Skill Dunia and SBI Life participated in the placement drive. Out of the 112 candidates who attended the event, 39 successfully secured employment opportunities, with 16 hired by Skill Dunia and 13 by SBI Life.
