AMARAVATI: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has highlighted the pivotal role played by the Central government in moving Andhra Pradesh's two most critical lifeline initiatives forward, stating that the Centre has extended "valuable support" toward the development of the state capital, Amaravati, and the completion of the Polavaram irrigation project.
Addressing a high-level review meeting, the Chief Minister detailed how targeted fiscal assistance, policy clearances, and regular monitoring from the Union Government have helped overcome a series of administrative and infrastructural bottlenecks that previously stalled progress.
He noted that the Centre’s handholding at a crucial juncture has injected new momentum into the construction of Amaravati's foundational infrastructure, including core administrative buildings, trunk infrastructure, and basic urban amenities.
