AMARAVATI: Following a rigorous assessment of the emerging infrastructure in the capital region, a high-level delegation from the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) has recommended elevating the design standards for traffic loads across the road network of Amaravati.

The recommendation comes after a comprehensive evaluation of the trunk and internal road networks to ensure the capital's infrastructure remains future-proof, durable, and capable of handling rapid economic growth.

The recommendations were presented during a strategic wrap-up meeting between the CRRI delegation and ADC Chairperson and Managing Director D. Lakshmi Parthasarathy.

By integrating these higher heavy-vehicle traffic guidelines, the state government aims to minimize future maintenance cycles and build resilient transport corridors that serve as the backbone for Amaravati's urbanization.
