RTIH, Kia India Sign MoU to Establish Advanced Prototyping and Innovation Centre in Amaravati

The Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) has partnered with automotive giant Kia India to set up ‘APIC Labs’ at the Amaravati Hub, a move designed to provide hardware startups and innovators with industrial-grade manufacturing, testing, and prototyping tools.

AMARAVATI: In a major push to strengthen the innovation and advanced manufacturing ecosystem of Andhra Pradesh, the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) and Kia India Pvt. Ltd. have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the Advanced Prototyping and Innovation Centre (APIC Labs). The facility will be located at the landmark RTIH Amaravati Hub in Mangalagiri.

The agreement was signed by Dhatri Reddy, Group CEO of RTIH, alongside senior delegates from Kia India, including Tae Hyun Kim (Chief Administrative Officer), Jungho An (Senior Advisor for Legal, Compliance, Corporate Affairs, CSR & PR), and Dr. T. Somasekhara Reddy (Principal Advisor).

Officials stated that this public-private-academic framework underscores the government’s commitment to positioning Andhra Pradesh as an attractive destination for globally competitive technology and engineering products.
