VIJAYAWADA: An international expert team reviewing the construction of the Polavaram Project has expressed satisfaction with the progress of the works, noting that construction activities are being carried out in a planned manner, within targeted timelines, and without any compromise in quality standards.
The international expert committee was constituted to inspect the construction progress of the Polavaram Project and to provide vital technical guidance and recommendations. On Wednesday, the team began a three-day intensive visit to the project site.
On the first day of the visit, team member Sean Hinchberger visited the project construction area and conducted a detailed review of the ongoing works. Upon arrival, Hinchberger was welcomed by Andhra Pradesh Water Resources Department Special Chief Secretary Shashibhushan Kumar.
The review meeting kicked off with an official presentation detailing the works completed so far alongside current construction activities. Polavaram Project Superintending Engineer R Ramachandra Rao delivered a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation to the delegation.
Following the detailed review of the site works, Sean Hinchberger and members of the central team expressed their contentment regarding the pace and structural quality of the ongoing irrigation project.
