AMARAVATI — Telugu Desam Party (TDP) State President Palla Srinivasa Rao has directed party workers and functionaries to celebrate the upcoming "Pedala Sevalo" (In Service of the Poor) welfare initiative as a festival across Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking during a high-level teleconference with party leaders, Rao reviewed the final preparations for the massive NTR Bharosa pension distribution drive.

The ruling coalition government has disbursed ₹66,000 crore through its flagship pension model since taking office.

According to party data, the NTR Bharosa scheme supports over 62.7 lakh beneficiaries every month, requiring a monthly state expenditure of ₹2,728 crore.

Rao emphasized that no other state administration in the country currently allocates such a high volume of direct financial aid solely for underprivileged welfare.
