AMARAVATI — High political tension gripped Nandyal district on Monday after unidentified miscreants desecrated a statue of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

The incident took place at Thimmapuram village in Mahanandi mandal during the early hours, sparking immediate outrage among local political workers and residents.
