VIJAYAWADA — Dr NTR University of Health Sciences will host its 29th and 30th annual convocations together in Vijayawada on June 2. The joint ceremony will celebrate graduates from the 2024 and 2025 academic batches.
Vice-Chancellor Dr P Chandrasekhar confirmed that the dual event will take place at Tummalapalli Kshetrayya Kalakshetram starting at 11:00 AM.
Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer will preside over the convocation ceremonies as the university chancellor. Dr C Narasimhan, director of arrhythmia and electrophysiology services at AIG Hospitals, will attend as the chief guest.
The university administration will confer honorary Doctor of Science degrees upon senior cardiologists Dr Narasimhan and Dr PC Rath during the event to recognize their contributions to medical science.
A total of 122 meritorious candidates will receive degrees, medals, and prizes on the dais. The 29th convocation will feature the presentation of 62 gold medals, 21 silver medals, and 18 endowment prizes.
For the 30th convocation, the varsity will distribute 61 gold medals, 18 silver medals, and 19 endowment prizes to top-performing students across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral medical programs.
