AMARAVATI — An agricultural startup based in Rajahmundry has broken into the ultra-premium global chocolate market, transforming the Godavari region into an unexpected hub for luxury confectionery.
Founded by industrial engineer Akhil Grandhi and his wife Prathina Grandhi, the artisanal brand Bon Fiction has successfully bypassed traditional supply chains by implementing a strict "tree-to-bar" model.
The company handles every stage of production locally, from bean sourcing and fermenting to the final packaging, eliminating all intermediaries.
The local enterprise recently achieved significant international milestones, becoming the first Indian brand to clinch a Gold award at the prestigious Academy of Chocolate honours in the United Kingdom.
Further solidifying its position, the company's vegan variants secured top honours at the International Chocolate Salon in the United States, while Italy’s Cacao of Excellence platform officially ranked the company's Godavari-grown cocoa beans among the top 50 globally out of more than 900 international entries.
