TIRUPATI — The celestial wedding of Lord Siva and Goddess Parvathi, known as 'Siva Parvathula Kalyanam', was performed with religious fervor at the S.R. Convention Centre on Old Tiruchanur Road on Saturday.

The grand ritual served as the curtain-raiser for the 35th All India Brahmana Vivaha Parichaya Vedika, a major community gathering.

The two-day congregation is organized jointly by the Federation of Brahmin Matrimonial Information Sangham (FOBMIS), based in Vijayawada, alongside the Tirupati-based Sri Venkata Gayathri Charitable Trust and Viswavani. Organizers confirmed that the event concludes on Sunday evening after a series of structured sessions.

According to FOBMIS general secretary Machiraju Kiran Kumar, Sunday's schedule begins at dawn with sacred rituals including 'Shashtipoorthi', 'Bheemaratha Santhi', and 'Sahasrachandra Darshanam'.

These traditional ceremonies honor married couples reaching the milestone ages of 60, 70, and 80 years respectively.
