TIRUPATI: The processional deity of Sri Govindaraja Swamy blessed a large number of gathering devotees on Thursday morning and evening respectively, marking the sixth day of the ongoing annual nine-day Brahmotsavams.
The grand spiritual procession was led smoothly by cultural artistes performing traditional art forms like Chekka Bhajana and Kolatam, with classic devotional music echoing through the surrounding temple streets.
Devotees gathered in huge numbers around the deity to offer ‘harathi’ and enthusiastically chanted ‘Govinda Nama’ throughout the length of the procession.
According to Hindu mythology, Lord Hanuman symbolises unconditional servility, devotion, and total surrender to the Master. Through the morning Hanumantha Vahanam procession, the Lord conveyed to the devotees the core importance of having unquestioned faith to receive unlimited divine protection.
