TIRUPATI — The annual nine day Brahmotsavams of the ancient Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple concluded on Sunday night with the traditional flag lowering ritual known as Dhwajavarohanam.
Priests performed sacred rituals inside the temple complex to signal the official completion of the mega religious event.
The final day began with the celestial bathing festival, Snapanapirumanjanam, which was performed earlier in the day for the processional deities.
Large numbers of devotees gathered at the temple tanks to witness the holy immersion, which marked the spiritual culmination of the daily processions.
Temple administrators ensured elaborate security arrangements and crowd management systems throughout the festival week.
The administrative body provided free food, drinking water, and medical aid to tens of thousands of pilgrims who arrived from various parts of the country.
