VELAGAPUDI — The Andhra Pradesh government announced a major institutional push to establish yoga as a daily health practice rather than a single-day annual event.

Minister for Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare Satya Kumar Yadav stated that the state administration aims to weave yoga into the daily routines of citizens to combat rising lifestyle diseases and mental health issues.

To achieve this long-term wellness objective, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has officially approved the creation of the Andhra Pradesh Yoga Prachara Parishad.

The new administrative body will operate through three dedicated regional offices across the state to handle structural deployment, instructor training, and community outreach. The formal proposal is currently undergoing fiscal evaluation by the Finance Department.
