AMARAVATI — Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has set an ambitious target of drawing 1 crore (10 million) participants for the upcoming 'Yogandhra' program. The massive health initiative will coincide with International Yoga Day on June 21, 2026.

The state government plans to transform the annual wellness observation into a widespread public movement across all districts.

During a high-level review meeting held at the Secretariat, the Chief Minister directed department heads to execute meticulous, village-level planning to ensure maximum civic involvement.

The state administration aims to engage students, women's self-help groups, youth organizations, and senior citizens to build a comprehensive network of participants. Educational institutions and local governance bodies will serve as primary hubs for the morning sessions.

The 'Yogandhra' initiative will serve as the official launchpad for a broader, long-term health and wellness campaign across Andhra Pradesh.

Officials confirmed that digital platforms and public broadsheets will track real-time registration numbers leading up to the main event. Special trainers from various wellness academies are currently being deployed to mandal and village headquarters to conduct preparatory workshops.
