VIJAYAWADA: The stage is fully set for the conduct of Mahanadu, the annual conclave of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which will run in a hybrid mode for two days starting Wednesday.
Combining limited physical participation at the party's central office in Amaravati with an unprecedented digital outreach network spanning the state, the conclave is being positioned as a technologically driven mass movement.
TDP State president Palla Srinivasa Rao highlighted that the event aims to reconnect the cadre with the party’s ideological core, describing Mahanadu as the "emotional heartbeat" of the TDP.
Traditionally organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of TDP founder and former chief minister N.T. Rama Rao, Mahanadu serves as the party’s principal forum for policy deliberations and strategic direction.
While the leadership initially planned an expansive three-day physical convention in Nellore, plans were recalibrated to a hybrid format due to global uncertainties and a recent appeal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging citizens to exercise restraint in expenditure amid international geopolitical tensions.
