AMARAVATI — Large-scale demonstrations broke out across Andhra Pradesh on Monday as opposition activists and unemployed youth staged intense protests outside district collectorates. The agitators are alleging massive irregularities in the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment examination and have demanded an immediate probe by central investigators.

Organized by the YSR Congress Party youth wing, the simultaneous rallies caused significant disruptions in multiple urban centres, prompting a heavy deployment of police personnel to maintain order.

The demonstrators claimed that the state administration manipulated the selection process, particularly within the sports quota appointments.

According to protestors, specific government guidelines were temporarily introduced to favor unqualified candidates and were later abruptly withdrawn after the positions were filled.

Eligible candidates who cleared the examination alleged that they were bypassed in favor of individuals who reportedly secured appointments through fraudulent certificates and financial payouts.
