VIJAYAWADA: The Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) has entered into a strategic partnership with Tata Steel Limited to provide elite football exposure to promising young athletes from the State at the renowned Tata Football Academy (TFA) located in Jamshedpur.

Under this new collaborative initiative, Tata Steel will host 80 selected boys and girls categorized across four distinctive groups: Under-21 Boys, Under-21 Girls, Under-15 Boys, and Under-15 Girls, with exactly 20 players allocated to each category.

Comprehensive selection trials were conducted at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation (IGMC) Stadium, attracting young soccer talent from all corners of Andhra Pradesh.

As part of the collaboration, SAAP organized a football exhibition match and an interactive programme at the IGMC Stadium. Mukul Choudhari, Chief of Sports at Tata Steel Limited and CEO of Jamshedpur Football Club, attended the event as the chief guest.

During the program, he interacted closely with the players who recently participated in the SAAP League Football competitions held in Anantapur. The SAAP League is a flagship grassroots sports program run by the Andhra Pradesh government, currently spanning competitive events across 31 different sports disciplines.
