VIJAYAWADA: Healthcare professionals must enthusiastically adapt to rapid advancements in artificial intelligence, precision medicine, and digital health, but they must do so while preserving the core clinical values of empathy and compassion.

This was the central message delivered at the joint 29th and 30th convocation ceremonies of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (Dr. NTRUHS), held at the Tummalapalli Kalakshetram on Tuesday.

Dr. NTRUHS Vice-Chancellor P. Chandra Sekhar emphasized that continuous innovation has turned once untreatable conditions into manageable diseases, making it crucial for young doctors to constantly update their tech skills without losing a patient-centered approach.

he university awarded a total of 123 gold medals, 39 silver medals, and 37 endowment awards to meritorious students across the academic batches of 2024 and 2025. Additionally, Dr. C. Narasimhan and Dr. P. C. Rath (Head of Cardiac Sciences at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad) were conferred with Honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) degrees.
