AMARAVATI: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called upon state departments to ensure that the upcoming Godavari Pushkarams in 2027 is organized on an unprecedented scale.
Reviewing preliminary plans with senior officials, the Chief Minister emphasized that the event should not just be viewed as a religious congregation, but as a landmark celebration of Andhra Pradesh's rich spiritual, cultural, and historical heritage.
With millions of pilgrims expected to visit major temple towns along the Godavari River particularly Rajamahendravaram (Rajahmundry) and Kovvur the state government plans to initiate comprehensive infrastructure upgrades well in advance.
Recalling the scale of previous celebrations, the Chief Minister stated that the 2027 Pushkarams must leave a lasting impression on visitors, establishing the state as a premier destination for spiritual tourism.
